Dr. Joshua Gascoyne is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Joshua Gascoyne earned his dental degree in 2015 from Texas A&M College of Dentistry and received an advanced certification at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Pediatric Dentistry where he was chief resident and received several awards and scholarship. After completing his advanced education, he relocated back to Houston to be closer to home and family. He maintains certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic life support, and holds an oral sedation permit from the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. He is excited to be part of the Molar Bear team and works hard to create beautiful smiles for kids every day. Dr. Gascoyne loves to educate and inform his patients and parents about preventing oral health problems. He is also an avid believer in community service and has volunteered annually at his local Give a Kid a smile event as well as a multitude of community health fair events. Dr. Gascoyne has the ability to treat children under IV sedation in office. The IV sedation is administered and monitored by a board certified anesthesiologist. IV sedation is recommended for the severely apprehensive child who would be unable to tolerate treatment with oral sedation. Alternatively, Dr. Gascoyne is on staff at Texas Children’s Hospital – West Campus (Katy) where he provides full mouth dental rehabilitation for severely anxious or very young children, the medically compromised, and the special need child in the operating room under general anesthesia. He is able to restore them to optimal dental health in a safe and traumatic free environment in a hospital setting. Dr. Gascoyne is an active member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also on track to become board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He continues to strive for excellence by attending annual education opportunities with a focus on growth, development, and nutrition. In his free time, Dr. Gascoyne enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
